Every test the statistical test guidance knows, all at once. Answer the questions in any order and the tests that no longer fit fade out. The number beside each answer is how many tests would remain if you chose it.

Paired Samples t-Test

Close

Parametric test used when each observation in one group is related in some way to a corresponding observation in the second group. The independent variable is measured on a nominal scale and can have only two values. The dependent variable is measured on an interval or ratio scale. Assumes meaningful pairing of observations, normal distribution of difference scores, randomly sampled data, and independence of observations between subjects.

Check first: The differences between the paired scores are normally distributed (less critical in larger samples).

If its assumptions are not met, see: Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, Sign Test for Two-Sample Paired.
